CERN and environment

CERN - European organization for the Nuclear Research - is the largest laboratory of particle physics of the world; it primarily provides beams of particles to the experiments of high energies physics. The particle accelerators and their experimental zones are installed on two main sites, Meyrin and Prévessin, and several smaller sites located in Switzerland, in the Canton of Geneva, and in France, in the Pays de Gex.

This website describes the various impacts of CERN on the environment as well as the techniques implemented to master them.
